"TI Forum Fubars tell the tale"

    September 7, 2012  |   By Beefrd54

Version: Acronis True Image Home 2013

    Pros

    Not much since 2009

    Cons

Oklahoma in the TI forum seems to exemplify the Zit in the middle of your forehead anxiety of running this software. From 35138: 2013 Image Disk Restore Leaves Windows 7 Unbootable; there are a lot of soothing tech thrash noises and promises and not much else. True Image is not for me, either.

    Summary

Waste of money in a Win 7 64 bit platform. Shop elsewhere.

"More of a virus than anything"

    September 4, 2012  |   By lionelhutz

Version: Acronis True Image Home 2013

    Pros

    none? i cant find any.

    Cons

You can never uninstall it. It corrupts files. Once it is installed on your machine, it takes an act of God to get it off. I am very technical, and it took me hours to finally get it off my machine. Stay away.

    "TIH 2013 still going downhill"

    September 3, 2012  |   By pizzafoundry

Version: Acronis True Image Home 2013

    Pros

    None. Renders previous backups unreadable.

    Cons

Eliminates your ability to have a stable reliable backup platform.

    Summary

I LOVED True Image back in the old days, 2008-2010, where it just worked. At 2011, we started having reliability problems, and my 2012 install became so corrupted and useless that I had to demand my money back. I've been running on 2010 and it is like a rock, but I thought I'd try 2013 to see if they got their heads out of the hole yet. Apparently not. I tried to get one of my backups open and it just sat there with the spinning circle and "please wait" for about 15 minutes, then Windows announced that it was no longer responding.

    Utter garbage. Run away fast.

    "Install corrupts everything"

    August 29, 2012  |   By TelstarIII

Version: Acronis True Image Home 2013

    Pros

None--it is beneath contempt and is more virus than help.

    Cons

The install of this program creates no viable uninstall option. It corrupts previous version backups and is beneath contempt.

I had to literally wipe the boot drive using another program because the faulty install creates so many disc problems.

The worst version yet by far. Stick with 12 as updated.

    "Can of worms."

    August 28, 2012  |   By walkhorse

Version: Acronis True Image Home 2013

    Pros

    Some good features.

    Cons

Knocks out your working backup system. No indication that it is backing up or restoring. Log froze up computer.Backup data location scrambled.I spent a week getting the backup system to work 87% worth.

    Summary

    Dear soon to be unemployed:

Check out Acronis reviews. I would like management to replace all the incompetent people
that work as technical support for Acronis. Then the software Engineers that created
this can of worms. Management could then micromanage the coffee machine. It was smart to charge for
Tech support when the software is to buggy to sell in the market place.
    Regards from a X client,
