"Not what they advertised!Don't buy ACEMONEY!"
Version: AceMoney 4.20.5
Pros
None, not what they advertised. Do not purchase this software.
Cons
I tried the free download and exercised comparing it to several other programs. I am Technical Support Analyst so decently experienced. Used their files and saw it connect but since the accounts were bogus, stocks were not real, it seemed the connectivity was not a problem. We use a Hughesnet Satellite connection and have successfully used Money for years, even AFTER it was no longer supported. We purchased the full licensed version of ACEMONEY and IT NEVER worked. I contacted support multiple times, got ridiculous answers (stupid user answers) and they refuse to refund. They have NO ONE you can talk to and very poor service policies.
Summary
Don't buy it. I downloaded MoneyDAnce and it worked the FIRST TIME. So it was the Acemoney software, not our connectivity and not our experience.

"Plain and simple but NOT a replacement to Quicken"
Version: AceMoney 4.19.1
Pros
Straight forward, clean accounting. Looks rather simplistic and basic to use and set-up.
Cons
DOES NOT compete with Quicken or any similar application for that matter. Their marketing hype is exaggerated. The banking that it is supposed to work seamlessly is limited. Unfortunately for me, I listened to the hype thinking they were legit and this would replace Intuit as stated. What I found, since I paid upfront without a trial, is software that WILL NOT communicate to either of the two banks I use. I have Quicken, and it is not a problem anywhere. Not only that, since it cannot download current status, I cannot do any Bill-Pay either, which was my main objective. After emailing support (you can't talk to them on the phone), their reply was that I should have received the Trial version and they ASSUMED I had done that and was satisfied. So much for taking a company's word in good-faith. They of course refused to credit me the purchase even though this wasn't even a physical version of the software.
Summary
All-in-all, buyer beware! If you don't mind doing a OFX file download from your bank, IF able to, and then uploading this to the application just to see what is in the bank... you're OK. If you want to do Bill-Pay, of course you can forget it. HOWEVER, if you have a large bank like Bank of America you MIGHT be OK as well.

"Great Home Accounting"
Version: AceMoney 4.19.1
Pros
Easy to use
Unlimited # of AccountsCons
Poor tutorial
Item numbering confusionSummary
This is my 3d year using this software. So I have a good bit of experience using the software. I have used Quicken and MS Money and they are difficult to learn or use. Out of the box it is easy to set up accounts and use the software. It has a lot of nice features that make it easy to navigate. It has a number of reports and charts and it has a good budgeting capabilities.

"Poor Help Information"
Version: AceMoney 4.19
Pros
easy to use interface
Cons
Poor help information
Triggered my bank into thinking it was QuickenSummary
I tried the demo. At first I liked it, but then when I tried to balance my bank account, it would not let me tell it the ending balance, which came up differently from my bank statement. Help window was useless, as was the knowledgebase at the website.
I also downloaded from my bank but unfortunately my bank thought it was Quicken and it triggered an automatic sign-up for a service that costs $10 a month with my bank; I was not given any warning by Ace Money about this. -
"Great program, simple to use, well worth the $30"
Version: AceMoney 4.18.1
Pros
Very intuitive, tracks multiple types of accounts. Simple, easy to understand and use interface. I went to tools>options>password and had no problem password protecting my data.
Cons
None that I can find.
Summary
Developer answers questions promptly (usually within hours) when submitted on a tech support "ticket" on their website. May not have all of the "bells and whistles" that Quicken has but this is a great program. I have looked long and hard for a financial program and this one is easy to understand and use and is the best.

"Good Product with Excellent Support"
Version: AceMoney 4.15.1
Pros
1. Proves to be a good replacement to MsMoney
2. Great support
3. Bargain basement price
4. Lite version can be tried at no cost
5. Good facilities for on-line security pricing US and intnl
6. Simple interfaceCons
1. Password protection and encryption needs improving
2. Historical security pricing and performance reporting needs enhancingSummary
I was forced to find an alternative to MsMoney when support ceased at the start of 2011. AceMoney imported the MsMoney without major problems but , as expected, it then took some time to 'clean up' the data.
The online pricing is superior to MsMoney.
The supplier quickly responds to user questions and there has been a steady flow of new versions to correct bugs and introduce new features.
Get a feel by having a look at the online blog.
Don't regret purchasing this product - highly recommended. -
"Very Similar to MS Money"
Version: AceMoney 4.9
Pros
Works and feels much like MS Money
Easy download of transactions from online bankCons
Visually, a bit boring
Not always intuitive in naming transactions
No Online Bill Pay featuresSummary
I have used MS Money for years, and loved it. This software works and feels like Money, albeit with less visual appeal. Working in the program takes a little adjustment, and to be honest here I am still working through setting some things up (haven't had the time to really get it all done yet.) However, I was able to import my Money files rather easily (great tutorial in the FAQs on how to do this) and have been up and running fairly easily since.
I do use the download transaction feature, which connects to my bank and downloads all the most recent transactions. Really speeds things up, and unlike Quicken, I don't have to pay for that. Also, unlike (now defunct) Money, I do not have to go online, download the files and import the items... the program does this for me!
One really great feature is that I can set up Scheduled Payments, and have then automatically populate my register. Since they have not yet been paid, they are in a gray font vs the black font for other entries, so I can tell which are upcoming items. But this allows me to see how much I have now and how things will be impacted in the coming month!
The one thing I do miss is the online bill payment that Money provided. It would be great if this program allowed me to create the bill payment and then transmitted this to the bank for me. Quicken still offers this, but there is a $10 a month fee which I am not interested in paying.
At this point they do not have an Android app, but I hear they are working on this! I do hope this comes soon and works well.
All in all, while I am sad to see MS Money go away, I am very happy with this program. -
