"Batch doesn't work all the time"

    February 5, 2013  |   By dhm88

    Pros

    Does the basics

    Cons

    batch conversion is a mess

    Summary

I bought the professional version to do batch conversions. First the program completely crashes with certain files, instead of just skipping over them. Next I turn on the OCR engine to perform image-based conversion but that gets reseted to default when I apply batch conversions, works great with single conversions though. Lastly I contacted tech support but have been completely ignored for a week now.

Hi dhm88, Thanks for letting us know about your user experience with use. We apologize for the inconvenience and assure you that we'll do our best to help resolve the issue. To start, the OCR in our batch conversion is disabled for certain format conversions, which is perhaps why the software crashes. Thus, for those files you're having difficulties with, you may have to try converting them individually. Have you tried converting them with the latest 8.0 version? You can find the free trial here: http://www.investintech.com/prod_a2e_pro.htm Please give that a try and let us know how that works out. Hope that explanation helps!
