"Great product. Average support."
Version: Ability Mail Server 2012 2.51
Pros
I bought the cadillac version of this mail server for my company. I evaluated several products and this product provided best value for the money. Mind you the enterprise version is a lot more than $75. The product offers all implementation of Internet mail standards. Ability mail server has a decent spam support. Over all, it has everything you will ever look for in a mail server. Please read my cons comments for this product.
Cons
1. I absolutely hate the fact that the product has to retstart when you try to change the configuration using the application interface (If the program was running as service). The program either runs as service or application. This is absolutely unnecessary and I am sure they can fix it.
2. The support is meager. My Windows 2000 version started giving problem after the latest update. The mail server will just hang while swicthing to service mode after the configuration changes were done. The company has not done much to fix this issue. I can understand that they should be able to reproduce the problem to fix it. However, they do not realize that a production server can not be shutdown or restarted. So, now, I just use the web based interface to configure the system.
3. This is just minor. The web based mail reader (Supplied with the mail server) logs you off, when you click on HOME button (Behavior by design).

After pulling my hair out with our aging exchange server, this was the perfect replacement. Strong security, fast mail handling, really easy to use and fantastic customer support.

"Just ok - nothing more"
Version: Ability Mail Server 2012 2.22
Pros
It is a decent program but I am not that sure about its security inside a corporate network. I gave it a try and its ok.

"Great mail server."
Version: Ability Mail Server 2012 2.22
Pros
Quick to setup, great features and well priced. Probably the best feature worth noting is the SPAM blocking. Gone from 100+ SPAM's a day to almost 0.
Cons
None yet.

"Excellent program for a good price"
Version: Ability Mail Server 2012 2.19
Pros
Ability mail server is a good solid program with lots of features. I have been running it for about 3 months now and have not had one single issue with it. It runs quietly in the background and processes mail immediately.

"Excellent Email Server"
Version: Ability Mail Server 2012 2.14
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This is a really excellent, inexpensive, full-featured mail server. It's very simple to set up and if you ever have problems, the support is very responsive (despite being in the UK).
Heartily recommended, particularly for organizations on a budget. You get lots of features for little money.
