    "Great capabilities, crashes easily."

    Pros

    Has spell-checks in many languages, translation and web search among many other plugins, provisions for several people working on the text, and it is free.

    Cons

    Crashed several times when I tried to change the font. BE SURE YOU SAVE YOUR WORK FREQUENTLY!

    I never had AbiWord crash on me once but if you're experiencing these problems a lot you can have it autosave at certain intervals in tools / preferences / documents tab, hope this helps

    ....but can the abiword document sent be read by a user who has only Word?
