If you just need a word processor, its good and fast. Has great potential.
Cons
Doesn't exactly meet all my need. Boring interface, not as productive. No templates or themes.
Summary
If you want something free and simple for typing up essays for school and such, go with it. But if you want productivity, MS Office is still king.

Basic, very easy to use. Has all the features you need to process word documents.

I can't figure out how to switch on spell check.

At the end of the day, AbiWord is a great little word processor. I'd recommend it.
