    "Works wonderfully!"

    Pros

    Simple interface. Does the job. Nice to have the 2 video format options right there.

    Cons

    Does NOT import/record in mpeg4 format--it's mpeg2. That may just be a misprint on C-net. The software's home page lists it as mpeg-2.

    Summary

    Works for what I needed it to do, and it's free. What more could I ask? :)
    This is not really a con: Importing from dvcam results in the weird .dv extension/format (vs .avi) that only VLC player can play, not Windows Media Player. This is ok though, once you know. I edit using Adobe Premier Pro, which accepts the .dv format, so no biggie.
