  Pros

  The easier-to-understand video converter I ever used. Nice output results. Plus it has different tools in one suite - converter, editor, DVD burner, etc. And they currently offer time-limited 70% (!) discount on their website:

  "Best video converter I have ever seen"

  Pros

  It's really an excellent video converter. I tried a lot of video converters, and found this one the best. At first, the most important is that: output video is very high quality. It lets using external avi codecs. It is not very fast, but I found it fastest in respect of output file quality.

  Cons

  In spite of all these positive features I gave low score because their marketing strategy is unethical. At first they try to sell programs more then you need with some tricks. And they send very much spam reviews even the software doesn't need such a dishonesty.

  Summary

  Anyway, I installed it, use continuously and found no fault. Use it, but be careful with the company.

  Pros

  Not only are their products professional...yeah, they are unmatched for ease of use and simplicity. If you have yesterdays computer and try and run todays programing...youve lost already!!
  all key formats: DVD, AVI, MP4, WMV, 3GP, QuickTime, SWF, MPEG, M4V, RM, DVR-MS, MKV, FLV, Blu-ray. Convert HD-video: M2TS, AVCHD, TOD, MOD, HDV.

  Cons

  This is not freeware.

  None. You can easily find hundreds of other similar "converters". All positive reviews are clearly made up by the software owner/developer.

  * Unreliable

  "The best converter out there"

  Pros

  Highly accurate with top quality conversions. It offers high flexibility when it comes to choosing subs, audio tracks and resolutions. In most videos it identifies the subs tracks and can remove or switch them during conversion. In fact is the only one I found that offers such flexibility, and actually works, that I have found so far and I have tried almost every video converter that exists. Converted MKV to MP4 etc can be played on PS3 without any problems.

  Cons

  Slow and can take hours to convert high definition movies. Conversions consume all the power of my Quad processor to the point that it freezes the PC completely and setting it to 1 processor doesn't help much. However, the way around it is to open Task Manager and change the process affinity to 2 or 3 processors instead of 4 and this solves the problem. I guess this can be a problem for older 1 processor PCs.

  "Just gets better and better"

  Pros

  I have had this product for a long time. each upgrade is better than the last one. This last one is about the best ever. It was worth the price, that is for sure.

  Has problems with "odd" formats.

  Its Site Keeps All Prices HIDDEN Until Products Are Installed!!!
  
  I am so SICK of this disgusting bait-and-switch malfeasance that I will NEVER install a product that does not disclose its price right up front. Here, the editors clearly list it as "Free to Try," but all you'll see on the AVS site is "Free Download," which clearly displays am unethical intent.
  
  PLEASE DO NOT USE ANY PRODUCT THAT DOES NOT DISCLOSE ITS COST IMMEDIATELY!

  "One of the Best You Must have in Your life"

  AVS is synonymous to Pefect. AVS is rated as No.1 in many website. Not only AVS Audio/Video software are wonderful. Few people might know that AVS Document Converter and AVS Registry Cleanser are also terrific! AVS Document Converter 2.1 can freely convert so many formats freely. AVS registry cleanser can cleanse the system safely. Many other registry cleanse software usually cause the system crash. If you've ever used AVS, you would dumped others away.

  None so far.

  Summary

  With extremely comprehensive functions and beautiful user interface, You'd admire how excellent the AVS software are and surly enjoy using AVS.

  "Works great except DRM"

  Superb converter, top of the class

  Beware potential buyers! Would not convert DRM materials?
  
  Too bad I cannot bring along with me mobile HD versions of my favorite DRMed (read as Dammned) Blurays/DVDs that I assume I have the right to convert for personal consumption after i bought them instead of buiyng low quality pirated versions

  Summary

  Is it for AVS to judge how people dispose of their AVS software? I do not know what ties them to being so DRMed company? Mobile hardwares are getting cheaper for mobile users of HD movies/music but DRMs i think only makes consumers opt for pirated copies as painful alternatives
