    Version: AVS Audio Editor 3.5

    Pros

They have excellent products - no doubt about that.

    Cons

Their unlimited subscription mysteriously expires in about 6 months. There is ZERO tech support and their phone number is not valid (according to skype)

Possibility to record voice over the music in the program directly.
A wide range of editing fieatures and audio effects.

    Cons

voice logo in the resulting files by testing the trial version. Be atttentive by saving files in the testversion.

    Summary

The program has a worderfull mixing tool, which is able either mix different audio tracks, or record your own voice over the musik. Besides you can export and edit audio tracks from video files and grab tracks from CDs directly in the program. A wide range of editing tools is available! This is the functionality a was looking for.

"Audio dubbing, even registered, so unusable for me."

    November 25, 2010  |   By astring

    Version: AVS Audio Editor 6.1.1.353

    Pros

I like its speed and ease of use.

    Cons

The software is rendered useless for me because no amount of registration advice or repair or re-installation will remove the awful audio dubbing. You can easily get caught out and its embarrassing.

    Summary

I had a fair run from this audio converter. It seemed quite fast and easy to use. The one over-riding major problem is the audio dubbing intended for unregistered use. Even registered software does not reliably remove the awful voice-over. I got caught out badly making an audio cd for a funeral. And their was this rude audio "AVS file" audio on it. Terrible. There has to be a better way. You can't risk that sort of rubbish. Apart from that the potential is great. I would use it but can't.

"Unexplained Error and no assistance forthcoming"

    October 21, 2010  |   By RusticatedLady

    Version: AVS Audio Editor 6.1.1.353

    Pros

It looks like it will do what I want: Record audio from a microphone.

    Cons

I follow instructions, the microphone tests as working but I can make no recordings as I continually get the error message: Control 'spSkinPanel5' has no parent window. Other functions appear to work fine.

    Summary

Online references have no way to resort to fixing problems referenced by error messages. Glossary, Appendix, Help & FAQ have no cues that connect when typing in error messages. Online tech support does not respond. There is no phone line to call for help. It looks like I have a great program that just doesn't happen to do the one thing I got it for. And yes, I paid the fee, this is not a free trial version. I look forward to finding out what can be done to fix this as the program appears to be really good. At this point, my project is stallrd dead. I will give the program only a moderate rating until I can get it to work, but tech support is in the negative star area ... black hole?

    "Best out of the Rest!"

    September 23, 2010  |   By zlinst

    Version: AVS Audio Editor 6.1.1.353

    Pros

Solved all my issues converted my iTunes m4a to Mp3s so I could enjot them in my car! Tried a TON of other FREEWARE which added SpyWare, ToolBars, etc that were a handfull to delete!

    Cons

Kinda shady intro to their product, I converted all my iTunes to MP3's, but they were interrupted with a voice recorded reminder that I was still using the FREE version.

    Summary

I paid the $39 bucks to get it off my songs, and it has been well worth the purchase price.

"Buggy software and one computer license"

    August 20, 2010  |   By yachtwork

    Version: AVS Audio Editor 3.5

    Pros

It was easy to pay and trust the company

    Cons

The software is only good for the original computer, so once the computer crashes you have to re-purchase the software. I have found many bugs that cause the computer to lock. The color correction for video is very poor.

    Summary

After paying, then realizing the software sold as "unlimited" is really not transferable (only company I know of that does this) I don't want to take the time to learn the program and off seeking another program. I asked for a refund but was refused by AVS4you. Went to the AVS forum and found that any post that is not a compliment is deleted. I asked about software bugs and they just delete the post. Don't have time and wish I had ran AVS4YOU SCAM through Google before paying.

    - lot of formats (audio&video)
    - good interface for "quick edit"
    - realistic reverb
    - nice help
    - crash recovery

    Cons

    - few audio restoration tools
    - slow video saving
    - 5.1 conversion not exactly correct (or is it my mistake?)
    - mix tab - what is it??

    Summary

i like user-friendly applications... AVS Audio Editor is user-friendly. It hepls me to do most of things in few clicks. Online help and some presets makes me more expirienced in audio.

    "Excellent - Great Value"

    May 28, 2010  |   By rhgKualaLumpur

    Version: AVS Audio Editor 5.2.1.232

    Pros

For some projects, AVS actually works better than Adobe CS5 - for example, if you try to build a DVD from flash files. The AVS All In One Suite is $59 vs Adobe at $1,000 - you figure it out!.

    Cons

Nothing really. It might be more elegant if the many different software tools were combined into one, but it works fine as it is!

    Summary

I bought mine several years ago, and so far, I seem to get "for ever" upgrades. Excellent!

    "Pretty good software!"

    January 27, 2010  |   By Euvelin

    Version: AVS Audio Editor 3.5

    Pros

I use AVS software and I'm quite happy with it. I think they meet the customers' needs, as when I reformatted my hard drive and changed the OS, they unblocked my key, and everything works fine.

    Cons

so far they do not have version for Mac. But I hope, they will produce one.

    Summary

I like the software very much. It's multifunctional and worthy using.
