"Does more than clean your machine (beware!)."

Cleans machine.
Cons
Immediately after using, error 0 during boot in wdraptor disk with raid 0 configuration appeared. No such error in the other disk. Error is not recoverable using AVG recovery tool (rescue center). The actions I took & features I enabled / disabled should have been insufficient to cause such damage. There is a flaw in this software and I highly recommend RAIDers avoid it like the plague. Also, the advanced program features are totally bogus.

Pros
AVG PC Tuneup is the same thing as Auslogics Boostspeed. They had a contract a few years ago which they both use the same software and engine. Auslogics has a very good rating, so the same should apply with AVG. I have personally used this software for years. Kept my computer fast.

Works Great, especially on older computers using XP, used it on my wifes 4 year old laptop and its made a huge difference, we where about to throw it away it moved so slow, but not anymore., installed it on my laptop running windows 7 and still worked fine. Its not a scam or Virus, Windows Security Essentials has fixed the problems and it is not labels spyware...

Asked me to notify my bank that I wanted to make payments to the chec republic (spell it differently still wrong- does it have a z. Some reason they are having problems with pay pal? All my red flags for scams are flying high even though I have always loved AVG
Summary
NO! I will not call my bank and tell them to allow you to transfer my money to some foreign country! DUH! Very unprofessional for a company that values US customers. Then again maybe they dont.

Cannot get refund for sale difference after the sale began 2 days after my purchase.Summary
Customer Support is this product's biggest drawback. You get people in India who refuse to connect you with America and then are relentless upon trying to sell you a sevice package for $169 which is for one year. They showed me some bogus "Errors" when they took remote control of my computer and continued to try to sell me their service. I say bogus because my computer knowledgeabe friends informed me that those errors are harmless and that AVG fixes the important ones.
I purchased both the AVG 2012 Security System and AVG PC Tune up 2 days prior to both going on sale. This would have saved me $15 but I could not get the people in India to secure a rebate.
I like the product but do not think that the cost is worth the effectiveness considering you can get free versions of both programs (PC Tune Up vs CCleaner and Power Tools Lite) which do most of the import tasks. -

AVG PC Tuneup seemed to do what was claimed for it. However, it completely stopped my AVG Firewall from working. Nothing I tried worked. I uninstalled AVG PC Tuneup and voila! AVG Firewall NOW working!
Having an active working Firewall is more important to me than a tuneupSummary

Made a complete mess of my Dell Pentium machine. It needed a tune-up, now it needs a major overhaul. Downloaded the software, ran it with the default settings, now the machine barely runs. It has taken six hours (so far) installing a HP Photosmart printer driver!
