Pros
Of the few antivirus installs that I tried, 2 in a row did not install but AVG installed as easily as breeze.
Cons
Since I'm not a programmer, I don't see any cons. The best antivirus library would be the best program. But from my point of view this is a great program.

This is a terrible program infected with Malware.. Do not install!
Summary
First it asks if you want the AVG safety searchbar downloaded then it downloads the Incredibar Malware search bar which hijacks your Google and your IE application inundating you with ads, popups and redirecting you to other websites.. Shame on you CNet for not vetting your downloads before making them available to your customers!.

Abysmal! NO pros - this free software seems to be actually a virus - it just can't be uninstalled.
Cons
I used AVG 2012 until it forced installed AVG 2013. Every time I tried to update AVG 2013 I'd get General Error. The after a few days I started to to get General Error in the middle of web surfing. So fed up I went to control panel to tried to REMOVE AVG 2013 4 times - my Control Panel kept freezing and after 4 complete shutdowns I still CAN'T REMOVE AVG 2013 ...Grrrr!!!
Summary
DO NOT Install AVG 2013! I repeat DO NOT Install AVG 2013 - it is in fact a virus and can't be removed! SO BEWARE!!!!
