Version: AVG Anti-Virus 8.0.87
"Don't uninstall 7.5"
Cons: Its a step back from 7.5, has an annoying reminder that indicates it only works for about 30 days. You cannot remove the toolbar it installs, then tells you your not secure if it is not enabled. That really annoyed me and reminded me of Norton, with it's annoying false warnings. The scans scan for tracing cookies, which is a lot, so it is really difficult to track down the actual malware

You just uninstall, and reinstall without installing the toolbar. Problem solved. I'm sure you saw that option during install. I agree its stupid that that there is no way to disable it without getting the warnings but you had the option to opt out during install anyway.
