Version: AVG Anti-Virus Professional Single Edition 7.0
"don't even bother"
Pros: fast..fast..fast
Cons: like i said fast..but that doesn't mean a good thing at all because it misses every kind of worm and virus that can potentially wipe out your computer for good.
let's be realistic here if you want real protection you gotta get a company that is well known and trust worthy. for those who actually think this software is great, obviously they haven't done there homework... nuff said

Agreed to a point. Actually it didn't miss a virus that infected my machine recently but it did let it in and was unable to clean it (it infected Windows explorer and embedded itself, indelibly). I had to reformat the entire drive. To prevent this happening, you definitely need a firewall as well as AVG.

You actually *ran* the updates before scanning, right? I've never had any problems with this catching more nasties than Norton does. This software is great... if you can actually use it correctly.
