Version: AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 8.5.408
"Don't waste your time"
Pros: Very little Pros left for the previously wonderful AV program.
Cons: The last 2 or 3 version updates to AVG have brought record breaking bloat and slow operation. AVG just seems to scan whenever it decides it wants to regardless of what scan time you have set. Scanning cripples computer while scanning. TRASH NOW!
Summary: AVG simply is no longer the fine anti-virus program it once used to be!!!!

disable auto scan !
You must have a very poor spec PC if AVG slows it down 1GB less RAM
