Version: AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 7.5.467
"An Average Antivirus"
Pros: Avg antivirus is really easy to use.It detects and removes virus, worms and Trojans. It has real-time protection which scans files, folders and email automatically. It is so low on memory that even won't even slow your computer down.It updates daily many times and it's free.Compare to previous versions of Avg this one has the improved detection.
Cons: No technical support and....
No web-shield
No Im and P2p protection
No network protection(traffic scanning)
No script blocking
Most of these features are available in paid antivirus and also in Avast home edition.

Thanks for supporting me Troll Killer. All antivirus should includes most of these features mentioned in cons of my review.Cause if they don't then a virus could bypass the security and damage your computer.I think Grisoft didn't include these features because it might increase the memory usage and disappoint Avg fans.

Your comment was great. You pointed out all the good things about my Avg review. You were also being very honest, that's amazing.Anyway happy downloading.

sorry dude, but reborn hits the nail on the head, in fact he was kind to avg by not mentioning it's other limitations such a zero scan options, limited ability to scan compressed files. avast is only slighty heavier on pc resources than avast. if your pc can't handle avast. it really bites the big one. active virus shield also hammers avg and runs ony two processes. get over your avg love affair. reborn never said it was supposed to be a security suite, he simply pointed out better options exist, and was quite polite about it

take it easy my friend...
its a free anti-virus! not a protection suite!!
is good to remember, avg is the best and so light (dont load 78709809 process on background).
remeber that!
