Version: AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 7.5.467
"Its gone downhill"
Pros: its not a bad anti-virus as its (Free). but it has just not kept up with the others.
Cons: I prefer AVAST

thanks for defending my review on avg, how much can one say on an av scanner with such limited options. it's better than nothing, and better than ca, or that garbage av scanner that come with windows one care, thats where it ends i'm afraid.

This is a comment for the fools who attack peopleâ??s reviews. You are a strait up idiots. Your dumb as~ games don't work, you see, I don't play that nonsense. I have many friends at download.com. Several are watching this foolishness. This foolishness only shows youâ??re a low life scum suckers. This BS will not be tolerated by me or my friends. Sure, you get off ten or so helpful votes on them, but my friends will respond by getting off XX many more helpful votes because of people like you. I don't play. I've been around here for a long time and we have run off idiots like you before so go away. "GET YOUR DUMB AS~ LOST, YOU ARE UNWANTED TRASH"! Sorry folks, this was directed only to the "TROLLS" who attack other peoples reviews out of spite. It just ticks me off when people do that to anyone, not just myself. I have never done it and never will! If you disagree with a post, vote no but don't try to make us out idiots by voting them all not helpful with several download.com accounts.

I fully agree, these people are fools and idiots. I wish I could do more but I tried to help you by giving you helpfull votes evan on apps we disagree on. I have friends here too. I will spread the word. So listen to the ones who have supported you and don't quit writing. Your reviews are good. Those of us who support you will probably pay the price but if we stick together we can win this fight. Lets do this thing and off the looser! As wileyjan said, weve done it before.

dude.......while i have not personally given you a not helpful vote, let me say this... don't let it bother you, some are here to offer opinions, others to play games. nothing we can do about it. many good reviewers including myself, get hammered here and there. in fact, my guess is. you've insulted some die hard avg fans that cant figure out how to use any other virus scanner. the beauty of avg for them is it gives you pretty much zero scanning options. and while avg is far better than nothing, i'm sure it burns their a** that avast is better than avg, antivir and avs are also better options. avg is falling behind, the faithful just can't see it. as far as the dorks that play games here, us longtimers have our ways of weeding them out. ask around. we have run off quite a few with their tails tucked between their legs. i give not helpful votes only to the most ludicrous or obnoxious of reviews. the reason they don't leave replies, is if it's stupid or unfounded many of us will dog their a** until they leave the forum or quit writing under that name and adjust their tudes! so take it for what it is, an unjustified not helpful vote. ask ww2vet, some dweeb tried to dog him once, took less than 3 days to run the dude off. peace brother. don't let it get you down.

My no votes have gone from 75 to 465 in 2 days i would not call that some. that does not happen all the time !!!

I did some no voting and some yes voting on your reviews. Are you acusing me of being malicious? F' it if you are. I wouldn't cry about it, happens all the time and I like that you chalanged your attacker but I doubt they will come forward.
