    Version: AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 7.1.4

    "Everyone should have this!"

    Pros: It's completely free! It's what every computer user needs. It updates regularly and is just as powerfull as Norton, and uses a fraction of your resources, this program is destined to make it big.

    Cons: The updating has to be done manually, but it never once requires you to re-start your system. Could you possibly ask for more?

    I've been using AVG for about 2 years now and have always had

    automatic updates on a regular basis.

    Perhaps there is a setting in the AVG contol centre that you need to change from manual to scheduled automatic updates.
