Version: AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 7.1.394
"Better than Norton..."
Pros: I installed AVG Free Edition on my PC because Norton uses up too much RAM. It's ridiculous. I still keep Norton as a back up, though.
Cons: No auto updates, but that's to be expected with free software.

dude how can you say that . mine updates everyday on its own. and i have the option to update it quicker if i want to.

I'm not sure what is wrong with your setup, but I have been using AVG free for over 3 years, and it most definately does have auto-updating built in, and one of the fastest auto-updates I've ever seen when installing and downloading. It will even immediately get the updates when you open IE if you were disconnected during the scheduled time! Check your documentation please.

You installed AVG Free Edition thats fine. But now do yourself a favor uninstall Norton. Never run 2 anti virus applications at the same time! If you dont uninstall Norton you are going to mess up your computer big time!
