Version: AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 8.5.374
Pros: Scans for viruses.
Cons: All of the false positives that came up were very annoying.

"Have trusted it for 4 years now."
Pros: What i mostly like is its free and i have never had a major threat since I have been using it.
Cons: Only 2 gripes, 1 in the past have had problems updating, 2 when i run SuperAntispyware or any antispyware program for that matter there are 2 processes from avg that skyrocket. Seems AVG is also scanning each file the antispyware program scans.
Summary: I like this program but wish there was another workaround for using my antispyware program without disabling avg's resident shield. read more

Pros: NO PROS except free
Cons: AVG is a MEMORY HOG and protection does not even begin to compare to one of the other free programs I'm using now.

Pros: the download isquick in easy and I'm able to run it on windows 7 RC version!!
Cons: It is a little slow on the scans.
Summary: Avg free is so much better than any of the others because I can run it on any operating system!! read more

Pros: Good so far.I receive 0 from daily scans, which are quick.I've disconnected my ext drive, which is why the scans are short.This version seems shorter, still.
Cons: What protects you against xxs security holes?
Name an av that protects you from xxs.
Linkscanner?Summary: Good, so far.
All av products have their faults.
Otherwise, I'd pay a million dollars(well, not a quite a million)
to have the right product running on my computer. read more
