  "it tricked me"

  Pros

  generally good protection against programs that are tricking me into doing things I didn't plan to or that do those things without my concent

  Cons

  turns out this program ITSELF is doing the same - after enjoying it's free edition for years I was prompted for a "new version" and a nice little checkbox next to "full protection". Nowhere did it mention that this would upgrade it into a paid trial version. Now it says I have "14 days left" and if I don't BUY it I'll not be protected anymore.
  
  A program I trusted to look out for me is sticking a dagger into my back! And with so many free non-tricking alternatives out there I think it's time for me to say "I DON'T TRUST YOU ANYMORE, AVG!"

  Summary

  I'm leaving AVG line of products as I don't think a product that's tricking me into installing an "upgrade" that requires me to purchase it would be a good candidate to a program I can trust which's sole purpose is to PROTECT my computer from programs that trick me into doing something I didn't plan to do
