Version: AVG Anti-Rootkit Free 1.1.0.42
"Over Rated"
Pros: Easy to install and use.Quick scans some files and process only.
Cons: Doesn't scan registry areas and archive files.Doesn't properly remove found Root-kits.Can't save a log of scanning results.Some Root-kits escaped the detection from this product.Just because it's free people over-rate it.There are many free Root detectors which do better job than this product.

If someone says that there are other detectors that would do a better job, I feel they should name them!

Yes there are better Anti-rootkit programs than Avg.Try Panda Anti-rootkit or Mcafee rootkit detective(BETA).These 2 programs are FREE and EFFECTIVE.I checked your review of Firefox and I must agree with you.

i have got this app not that it has ever found a rootkit..
do you know if there are any better ones than this that are FREE??
