This important release includes a brand-new control panel along with the usual set of driver updates and optimizations. The new ATI Displays version 4.1 adds the awaited 3D/OpenGL Overrides pane which allows game players to define, on a per-application basis, whether the video card should use various 3D technologies and to what degree. This includes Full-Scene Anti-Aliasing as well as Anisotropic Filtering. This control panel is extremely important to be able to take advantage of the RADEON 9800's processing power and allows users to enable maximum quality options for any game, even if those options were not made available from within the game itself. Also included is a "What's New" HTML document fully outlining every feature of ATI Displays along with an illustrated primer on FSAA and Anisotropic 3D features.
