  downloaded for win8 64bit with radeon hd 6670 graphics card and it allows me many options for improving graphics etc

  "Just Doesn't Work..."

  Pros

  None, unfortunately.

  Cons

  I've downloaded this update twice. Each time it fails to work. It seems to install properly, but when I click on any on the icons, it says there is a "Command Line" error of some sort. Now I have to go back to the previous version, or contact Support. .
  I'm obviously, doing something incorrectly.

  "No problems with installation."

  Pros

  Very fast installations: two attempts.

  Cons

  Did not update my drivers. It only updates the ATI Catalyst Install Manager.
  This page does not confirm that it has been submitted!!!

  Summary

  File: ATI Catalyst Display Driver (Windows Vista 64-bit / Windows 7 64-bit) ver: 11.3 Size: 71,594 KB
  You would think that this would install the latest drivers, but it does not.
  What you get is ATI Catalyst Install Manager, Version 3.0.816.0 Size: 20 MBytes as installed
  The drivers in my case the actual driver package remained as:
  Version 8.582.0.0 Dated: 2009-02-03 for ATI Radeon X1550
  I.e. no change in the drivers.
  Why is this file stated to be the latest version of ATI Catalyst Display Driver (Windows Vista 64-bit / Windows 7 64-bit). Very confusing

  Files size too big, presumably to cover many hardware variants. Worse still if you get the file with the Catalyst programme.

  "WORKED GOOD"

  Pros

  did not make much difference but now my computer does seem to be using less resources ( i have not benchmarked it . . . but i bet i am getting better frame rates as everything just seems smoother )

  "Problems with x1650 and vista 64 bit"

  It cannot find the driver for the Vista 64 bit version. Support at ATI suggested I download the 32 bit XP version. That didn't help much and caused me to reload Vista again
