"It works, but be careful"

Pros
I have bookmarks in a Google toolbar but couldn't get the program to check those. Imported them into Chrome, and AM-Deadlink did a good job of cleaning out the dead ones. I don't use Chrome, but at least I now have a cleaned-up backup of my bookmarks there.
Cons
When I tried to eliminate duplicates it somehow wiped out most of my bookmarks from Chrome (again, it didn't do anything to Google toolbar bookmarks). It does give an option to save or cancel changes to the file altered, so I didn't lose anything.
Summary
Be careful if you want to eliminate duplicates.

I tried to remove duplicates in Firefox. I had about 700 bookmarks in total. About 150 to 00 were duplicates. I thought this program would save me hours of work. What it did was properly eliminate the duplicate entries in "unsorted bookmarks". But it also erased every bookmark that had been categorized. All my bookmarks in my Photoshop folder - gone! Android apps folder - empty. Legal folder - nothing. I ENDED UP WITH AROUND 75 BOOKMARKS AND ALL THE CATEGORIES, BUT ZERO BOOKMARKS IN EACH CATEGORY. Disaster.

FX 3.6.18 check BM's & 2 screens of BM's are seen and there are a thousand of BM's.
Corrected the path to D:\Programs\FX3-Profile\places.sqlite which is the correct path but there was no change in presentation. Perhaps the paths are incorrect?Summary
Worthless. Don't know why as it worked very well a year or so again when I was using FX1.x or perhaps 2 - before there was sqlite. The help screen provides zero help.

"Terrific tool if you have lots of bookmarks"

Very easy to use. I was able to import bookmarks from 8 different browsers without problem and check them minutes. The software allows you to re-order the bookmarks to list dead links first, find duplicates, and see what the link shows.
Cons
No mechanism to save all of the book marks in one large HTML file.
Summary
A great little tool. I tested nearly 2,000 bookmarks from 8 different browsers (including some much less than popular ones like Wyzo) and the program worked like a charm. I have only found one case where the software did not provide correct error status of a web page. Easy to identify duplicate bookmark entries (a very nice feature), 404 and other error messages, and look at web pages with its own built in browser window (a nice feature). You can turn off the internal browser. The software supports multiple languages for the non native English speaker. Modifying the web check options for how many connections to make, waiting periods for timeouts and number of attempts to make are a breeze to change. An sparse help file is provided, but the program is so basic that you barely need it. One nifty feature in the help file is the list of error codes so if you are not familiar with what a "404" error is you can easily look it up.
Overall, a great program to have for anyone that uses the Internet and is interested in verifying their bookmarks still work without spending hours manually doing this task. -
