"Keep Looking"
Version: ALO Power Audio Converter 2.2
Cons
This is: Power AMR MP3 WAV WMA M4A AC3 Audio Converter 1, by another name. BEWARE! How many different words are there for trash! It would not let me convert (1) mp3 fully, to determine how good, or how fast, or how capable this software is, but it had very active/agressive pop-up ads to get me to buy the regestered version for $19.00. It is uninstalled now. Dismissed!

"Does handle mainstream formats only."
Version: ALO Power Audio Converter 2
Pros
Easy to use (if it works). Works fine with WMA to MP3, etc the mainstream stuff. But don't all converters do that?
Cons
Does not tell if the task is completed or not, in the case that is does not work. I was looking for a format converter for AAC to MP3 or WMA. It just dumps the filename with no data in the directory. That is poor. I used the free try only.

"Converted W810i .amr format to mp3 - but only one at a time"
Version: ALO Power Audio Converter 1.6
Pros
Did exactly what I wanted it to do - convert a recording from my W810i to MP3 - unregistered will only convert one file at a time... still - it's free after all...
Cons
one file at a time - if you don't like it then buy the product... simple!

"Does exactly what I need it to."
Version: ALO Power Audio Converter 1.0
Pros
I got this software to convert WMA files to MP3. Works pretty good. FREE version only allows you to do one file at a time. With the registered version you can do an entire folder at once.
It allows you to set the rate for the conversion (ie. 128K, 192K, 320K, etc.) however I have noticed the final product is somewhere in the middle. I use cDex in conjunction with this to clean up all the files.
Well worth the download.
Cons
On the output you can only work one folder at a time. I would prefer it to be able to convert multiple folders within a folder.
