"Lots of potential, but needs some improvement."

    October 12, 2011  |   By SeumasColm

    Version: AIV Reminder 2.3

    Pros

Can do eight alarms for specific dates and times. Allows playing of mp3, wav, your own voice, or can read your text. Using MS Agent characters is kinda neat.

    Cons

(in order of importance for me)

    1) Only one daily alarm (daily alarms are the reason I wanted something like this).

    2) Only 4 characters. There are dozens, at least, of MS Agent characters available.

    3) Only does eight date/time alarms, and the alarms are not integrated with the actual calendar. The calendar is just a calendar. It tells you what day it is.

    4) Interface is a bit sloppy.

    Summary

I don't like to criticize a freeware program too much. I know the work it takes to write software, and I appreciate programmers who are willing to put their work out there for free. This particular application has some great potential.

However, I absolutely _need_ at least ten daily alarms. One is not useful at all to me.

I would also like many more characters. In fact, I would like the ability to use any Agent character (which would give us the option of making our own characters, for those able to do it).

I'd like more than eight date/time alarms, and to have them actually integrated with the calendar. I'd like to be able to bring up the calendar, click on a day, and bring up a screen to set one or more alarm/reminders for that day, or to see the information if an alarm is already set that day.

Finally, I would like a somewhat simpler and smoother interface.

With these improvements, I think this app would get five stars from nearly everyone, except perhaps from those who can't figure out how to move the clock (for those who want to know, you just click near the edge of the clock and drag).

"MP3 and Wave to wake you up"

    May 19, 2009  |   By goodstuff2005

    Version: AIV Reminder 2.3

    Pros

You can use your favorite mp3 and wave file as reminder alarm

    Cons

User interface is a little difficult to operate

    Summary

This free application needs time to get used to. If the user interface can be simplified, it could be better.

"it sucks to be this bad"

    December 1, 2008  |   By onezavalar

    Version: AIV Reminder 2.3

    Pros

    I forgot what was it

    Cons

    needs more fine tuning

    Summary

there is no option to turn off the sound (if you only want to see the chosen character) there is no way that you can move the clock in any part of the screen and you stuck with it right in the middle of the screen. arghh

    "Easy to use, pretty!"

    September 29, 2008  |   By nmcdan03

    Version: AIV Reminder 2.3

    Pros

The genie talks to you... verbally. You can hear the alerts going off from across the house to remind you of things. Takes the appearance of an analog clock, gorgeously. Classy graphics and simple interface. Really appreciate this program.

    Cons

Nada. This is a neat prog.
