Version: AISBackup 2.3.1
"This is the BEST; There's nothing else even close!"
Pros: I have tried backup app after backup app, spending hours learning to use them. Almost immediately each one let me down in some very important way.
This backup app actually does everything it says it does! For me, that's a first! All other backups tout their virtues and say nothing of their limitations. Not this one! Previously, the only backup I was able to use was a disk imaging app (and, believe me, I tried dozens before finding one of those that would work, too). But images are limited, because they're an all or nothing proposition; You lose every change you have made to the system since you made the image. That means you reinstall all apps and make all the tweaks you made since the image was created. Horrible waste of time, and very stressful, too, but it was the best method I had found, before now.
This is what I've done to test this backup app in the few days I've had it installed: I made a full backup of my system drive (C:) including the registry. Then I took my system back in time several weeks by restoring an image file I had created. I then followed AIS' instructions on restoring the system, including the registry. When I was done, I had my system back to the exact point it was before I sent it back in time with the image! Everything was there, and everything worked!
I've also had some hardware issues in the last few days, and I've done some registry editing. Somehow, I guess I screwed up some key file AIS Backup needed to keep track of my trial period. I uninstalled, and reinstalled, and came back with a working trial copy. After reinstallation, I didn't have any of the backup jobs I had created. Well, no problem! Just reinstate the backup job from the backup disks, and I'm back in business with a full history of all prior backups.
No other backup I've tried has every been able to do these things successfully for me. I'm hooked! I'm plunking down the modest cost for a registered copy of the program just as soon as I can.
Cons: The only complaint I have is that each time I've had a major problem with my system for the last week or two, everytime I get back to a working system, I've lost an extra day on the trial period. But, I've used it enough to know that I'm buying this one ASAP!

Version: AISBackup 2.2.2
"Best backup and restore app I've found!"
Pros: After a friend lost his HD (and almost lost his business!) I spent a long time looking for a backup & restore app that would not only protect him from complete system failures, but also the simple cockups that can overwrite days of work. I also wanted something that was as near foolproof as possible.
AISBackup met all my requirements - the setup is as simple as it can be without taking options away from the user, and running it is just a matter of following the very simple prompts.
Restoring files is wonderfully straightforward - you tell it want you want, it gives you your options and when you've made your mind up it tells you which disk to load. I wish it had been this easy when I was a system manager!
Tech support is outstanding - all my questions have been dealt with promptly, and it's obvious that they've been given real thought rather than getting the boilerplate responses that some "support" desks provide.
Cons: Not much realy - I suppose it could look prettier!

Version: AISBackup 2.2.2
"AISBackup works exactly how I think backup software should work!"
Pros: Aquarius I.S. Consultancy Limited's AISBackup provides professional control over all phases for individual to corporate level backup and archival. Yet it is simple to use and understand. Excellent documentation makes it easy for beginner to pro. I've used every product out there and this is the one I settled on after a great deal of experimenting. AISBackup works exactly how I think backup software should work!
Cons: I have never found anything not to like about AISBackup. As far as I'm concerned AISBackup is faultless and that is a truly rare attribute in the world of software.
