"Excellent product"
Version: AISBackup 2.8 build 393
Pros
Easy to use and select what you want to backup.
Backs up as zip files so you can restore without using the software.
The license fee covers life time use.Cons
If you move / rename files, they will be backed up again (but better to be safe than sorry!).
Summary
I have been using this software for at least 8 years and found it very easy and reliable to use. It makes transferring files to a new PC (or your laptop) an easy process and the ability to search through the backup for an individual file has been invaluable on several occasions. You can specify what files/folders to backup; the media to back up to (I use both ext HDD & DVDs) and how many versions you wish to keep. Also, you can preview which files will be backed up and then select any you don't want to backup and the software will prompt if you want it to always ignore the file(s).

"Simple, fail-safe and up to date"
Version: AISBackup 2.8 build 390
Pros
Simple. Easily and reliable - scheduled for every day use. Fast.
Extremely good customer support.Cons
I have no complaints at all
Summary
I first used this many years ago when I was a relative newby. It was very easy to set up, and still is. It ran quickly even using floppies. It is very fast now to my i.5 terrabyte external hard drive. In the early days I received superb service when I ran into problems, with the guy who wrote the program answering the questions - very friendly, and didn't tell me I was an idiot. I recently lost my settings while transferring to a new machine and new operating system. I was given a no-mess update without quibble. All updates, and they are frequent, are free.

"fantastic easy program which has never failed me."
Version: AISBackup 2.8 build 368
Pros
easy to learn and operate
Cons
network backup not to easy to understand
-
"Works great, so many features - not for casual user"
Version: AISBackup 2.7 build 348
Pros
Can backup to pretty much anything! USB hard drives, tape, FTP, LAN, CD, DVD etc.!
Stores data in Windows readable ZIP format, no need to run the restore routine if you just need to yank a file out of the zip archive - nice!Cons
So many options, even for me a power user it can be daunting without reading the help files... however, most of the defaults are just fine and it's easy to do simple backups.
Summary
Once you get it set up and configured it can be set to auto-pilot.
The FTP feature should be a winner for companies who have people in the field with laptops etc. - they can set it up and each night it can upload backups to a central server for safe keeping. -
"Install and forget"
Version: AISBackup 2.7 build 348
Pros
Due to the (unique?) generation-based, self-cleaning backup method this program can be left to run daily for extended periods (years) without the backup becoming unreasonably large.
Cons
Not entirely self-evident to set up for the casual user, neither is it indended for them.
Summary
Highly recommended for unattended, long-term operation.

"One of the Best!"
Version: AISBackup 2.7 build 348
Pros
Simple Interface with help right on the screen.
Cons
No Cons with this product
Summary
I have used this program for several years and found it extremely reliable.
The one time I had a problem, I contacted their website and had a solution in my email next morning. -
"Quick & Easy - Oh so many features"
Version: AISBackup 2.7 build 334
Pros
Great features - archive to zip files, one way & two way syncs, predefined quick backups, cpu usage control, Registry backups, automatic backups or set up an icon on your desktop to manual start the backup - just to name a few of the great features!
Cons
If you are new to computers this might have too many options for you and you might become overwhelmed. Upside is that the predefined quick backups would be all you would need anyway and those are easy to use.
Summary
I love this product because of all the features mentioned in the Pros and there is so much more! I've been using this product since January 15, 2004 and I am completely impressed with the amount of updates and new features they continuely add. The support is great. As Aquarius I. S. Consultancy states on their homepage "Aquarius I. S. Consultancy aims to supply low cost, high value, utility software to home and business users having features normally only found in software aimed at large corporate businesses" - and they are doing just that! Backup to a network drive, burn it to a DVD, pick and choose which files to backup, sync your files with a thumbdrive - whatever you can think of wanting to do with a backup AISBackup can do it.

"User friendly, efficient and reliable."
Version: AISBackup 2.6.1
Pros
User friendly setup. Efficient (good use of processor, etc.). Reliable.
Cons
No cons based on my use of this product.
-
"Unmatched Versatility"
Version: AISBackup 2.4
Pros
This software's versatility (and user support) is unmatched -- and I checked many alternatives before finding AISBACKUP. If you want to manage your backup size by complex filters such as size, modified date, extension, and combinations thereof, AISBackup is your only solution.
Cons
Because of its rich feature set, its not super intuitive... for those not needing all the bells and whistles, there are options to do a deafult/simple backup and leave the rest to AISBackup.
-
"Easy, fast, reliable."
Version: AISBackup 2.4
Pros
Easy menu setup. Onetime payment. Quick email response on problems with helpful solutions. Have used it for over two years now. Updates without new fees - seems like that's the way it should be.
