"as a winamp lover, i am impressed, or probably in love"

    March 31, 2014  |   By baddy_3-

    Version: AIMP 3.55 Build 1324

    Pros

    - great sound. also very customizable with full blown dsp manager built-in.

    - lovely skins available at aimp.ru and deviantart. arguably the best skins among all media players combined. file-icon themes also available.

    - handy utilities - converter, library, tag-editor

    - full windows 7 integration and useful 'mini player' mode.

    - stable and light, cpu hardly ever spikes beyond 1% (wut!), memory stays between 5-10 mb marks.

    Cons

    - utilities don't inherit settings from main player. you have to open 'preferences' window in each of them and configure.

    - 'preferences' section is a bit hectic. this player behaves a bit differently so winamp immigrants may find that irritating. but have patience for first few minutes, go through all the settings and you are good to go. it is worth it.

    - built-in 'anticlipping' needs some more work. sometimes it supresses the fun part of the sound fluctuation for the sake of safety. dubstep ends up sounding more horrible than it already is. works fine otherwise.

    Summary

enough of winamp comparison. aimp has a lot to set it apart from rest of the bunch. i have used aimp2 in past , aimp3 is miles ahead in terms of performance and refinement. if you need something fresh as your primary audio player, this one is a keeper. and no, there is no 'pro' version to pay for ;)

    "Well, it's better than iTunes!"

    August 12, 2013  |   By GCG1000

    Version: AIMP 3.51 build 1288

    Pros

Really great GUI. Totally comprehensive! Love the rack design; handles any genre you want to play! AIMP puts the other players to shame!

    Cons

I'd like to have more EQ presets to choose from, but this is not a negative issue. The development team will be addressing this minor request in the near future.

    Summary

Updates are truly seamless. It's free, but if you like AIMP, make a donation. Worth a shot on your part. Great player!

    "Incredible Features"

    March 8, 2013  |   By NimeshPok

    Version: AIMP 3.10 build 1074

    Pros

Hotkeys: If you have a laptop that doesn't offer handy multimedia keys, this player will overcome the shortcomings. Assign hotkeys to change track, play, stop, que, etc etc.

Interface: The interface is really cool, and is enriched with all necessary features. You don't have to dig inside to reach for the options, unless you're looking for advanced settings. Playlist, Queing, Equalizer etc etc are all there. The queing feature is really cool - I usually like to play shuffled, but sometime I like to hear a certain song after this one, even when playing shuffled. Cool feature.

Tray Option: One of the best feature this player embodies. When you minimize the player it goes to the system tray (beside the clock). The tray options come real handy when you need to play/pause, stop, change tracks without switching windows. When you hover to the player icon in the tray, a small window pops-out briefly. Great huh!

    Cons

    None. Absolutely none.

    Summary

I may sound like I'm gushing, but I so adore this player. I'm not advocating this software btw, just sharing my experience. However, I wish you give it a try and play with the hotkeys and other dynamic, unmatched and noble features this player offers, and experience the enhanced control at hand.
