"Wish I never upgraded from AIM 6"
Pros: Faster download time than previous version.
Cons: Horrible interface.
Added entirely unnecessary bullcrap that I don't want like Facebook and Twitter.
Loads slower.Summary: I can't even find a way to downgrade back to 6. read more

Version: AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) 7.0.12.2
Pros: More colorful choices for display.
Cons: I lost the ability to see the animation on my Superbuddy icons which is more than half the fun. So I am now considering switching to Digsby or Meebo.
Summary: I hate it when a software upgrade results in a loss of functionality. Don't take away features - my biggest gripe with all software. read more

Version: AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) 7.0.12.2
Pros: AOL does what I want--instant message and send files. I don't get into all the extra bells and whistles. For those jobs, AOL works.
Cons: All the bells and whistles. In fact, it took over my internet homepage and I had to take time to figure out how to get my homepage back. That really irritated me! If I had wanted AOL as my homepage, I would have made it my homepage to begin with.
Summary: It works for my purposes, but it has too many presumptive "cool" actions tht I not only don't use, but don't want on my computer. read more

"Nice way of quick communication"
Pros: I can pretty much do what I want and then some.
Cons: So far truthfully none.
Summary: I pretty much have it because my niece asked me to download it so we could talk on the IM or mobile which is a real plus. read more
