The AIGA "Bright Lights" app allows iPhone users to quickly access details for "Bright Lights: The AIGA Awards" using a simple, yet elegant, interface. Users will find venue information and directions, biographical essays and image galleries for the awardees being honored, event twitter feed, a list of event supporters, a quick and easy online donation tool, and a fun light painting and strobe light feature to generate pictures that can be uploaded to the event feed. "Bright Lights: The AIGA Awards" will take place in New York City at the Metropolitan Pavilion on Thursday, April 7 2011. Proceeds will support the AIGA Design Archives, Worldstudio AIGA Scholarships and the AIGA Legacy Fund. AIGA is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) educational institution.
