The name was one that I recognized and years ago my camera used the ACDSee program.

    Cons

I couldn't get the pictures to load.

    Summary

It looked easy enough to use and was a familiar tool to me, but I just couldn't get the picture in the file to transfer so that I could use the program.

"The program does what I ask it to do when I ask."

    June 11, 2010  |   By Bythelea

    Version: ACDSee 17 12.0.344

    Pros

The ease of operating the program.

    Cons

Have not yet found a negative.

    Summary

I have not had a lot of time with the Photo manager 12, but I am very pleased with the ease with which I am able to sort and organize my work. I do not use heavy editing tools, and the tools I find with Photo Manager are easy for me to use. I have been able to burn a disc successfully with out using a manual. The operating instructions are there when I need them, and easy to follow. I am pleased.

"More than just an image viewer..."

    May 6, 2010  |   By heidi2009

    Version: ACDSee 17 12.0.342.0

    Pros

*powerful organizing allows you to create your own organizing system
*allows you to quickly edit your images and not overwrite the originals
*can quickly resize multiple images for web use
*can quickly convert your images from one type to another

    Cons

*would like an undo when you accidently do something you didn't plan to (like move a file into the wrong spot.)

    Summary

This software is just more than an image viewer. It allows you to organize your images, edit your images, process your images (resize, convert, upload) and share your images.

ACDSee is designed to allow the users to view their images where they reside on your computer and you don't have to worry about "importing" them into an organizer.

Its a great tool for digital scrapbookers where they need to organize thousands of images with many of them being more than jpgs images. It will display pngs, fonts, abr brushes and allow you to organize them.

The new modes in ACDSee 12, allow you to quickly move from managing or organize your images (Manage Mode) to viewing them full screen (View Mode) to editing them (Edit Mode) to getting them shared on the web (Online Mode)

Its definitely worth trying out the trial to see if works for you.
