"Excellent - does exactly what it says!"

I bought the software because my PC was crashing and I need to work off my wife's laptop. I wanted something easy to use, with the minimum of fuss. This product was great. It captured all my data and installed it on my wife's laptop exactly as I had it on my PC. Great product (for me)!

"Don't buy this software!"
Version: ABF Outlook Backup 3.2.1.63
Pros
Does what it says on the tin: very useful for moving Outlook data from one machine to another.
Cons
The license says you can use the software on +1 computers for your individual use: exactly what you need to transfer Outlook data around your machines. WARNING: you could well hit a ceiling with this and when the it phones home it might ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to install when you need it. I had exactly this problem; my emailed request for help went unanswered. I therefore had a legally licensed purchase that was 100% unusable.
I am very comfortable with software that is protected against illegal copying. Software publishers have a 100% right to protect themselves against this. No problem. I therefore accept that software will be counting how many times it's been installed. Good.
However, when a user has bought a license and uses the software within the terms of that license and then hits the buffers, the absolute minimum is that the software publisher responds to the user's emailed support request. THE PUBLISHERS OF THIS SOFTWARE DIDN'T RESPOND AND I HAVE A PURCHASE THAT NOW WON'T WORK.Summary
Buy this software if you want to transfer Outlook data once or twice.
If you think you might need to move Outlook data from machine A to machine B and back again maybe a couple of times a year, DON'T BUY THIS SOFTWARE. IT WILL REFUSE TO INSTALL AND YOU COULD BE LEFT WITH A PURCHASE THAT WON'T WORK. Until the publishers of this software accept that they need to RESPOND TO REQUESTS FOR HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM, I suggest you don't even think of buying it. -

"Quick, Easy transfer from one PC to another."
Version: ABF Outlook Backup 3.2.1.63
Pros
Easy to use
Cons
Only complaint is price.
Summary
Allowed me to transfer Outlook email accounts, settings, files, and folders from XP 32 bit PC to new Windows 7 64 bit PC easily. I'm not absolutely sure it was worth the $40, but it will be used several times per year to keep my pop3 email accounts synchronized across PCs. I can see this being of great benefit for any time when I'm away from one PC for more than a day.

"Overcame My Inadequate Efforts"
Version: ABF Outlook Backup 3.2.1.63
Pros
Stunningly easy and fast. I had tried unsuccessfully to move Outlook from an older 32 bit system to a new 64 bit system. I made a mess of it. Outlook Backup completely ignored my futile efforts and moved everything in a few minutes with only a couple of clicks. No duplicates. No issues. No problems. I should have avoided all the frustration my "expertise" caused and bought this program sooner.
It is also noteworthy that a pre-purchase question to ABF was answered quickly, completely and accurately.Cons
Wish that it were free.

"Saved much grief when moving from OE to Outlook 2010"
Version: ABF Outlook Backup 3.2.1.63
Pros
I had delayed the conversion from XP to Windows 7 for much too long, simply because none of my colleagues had been able to successfully move their Outlook Express 6.0 to Outlook and then from an Old Machine to a New Machine which was running Windows 7. I had also read all of the horror stories about how in_reality it is almost impossible to get all of the newly converted Outlook 2010 file(s) moved over from an XP to a new Windows 7, so that your messages AND your complex folder setup AND your contacts make the transition intact. My solution: I had used ABF Outlook Express Backup for years, and it had saved my business many a time. So why not a backup for Outlook 2010 that could be restored intact to a new machine? Sure enough, ABF had it. In a few words: Slick. Flawless. Inexpensive. It worked.
Cons
None. This program works -- flawlessly.
Summary
This is a flawless, inexpensive program which backups up your OE-to-Outlook 2010 export on your old XP, and then restores it to a new Windows 7 machine. None of the machinations which you read about are needed here. Just load the ABF Outlook Backup program, give the backup file a name, and click. Backup done. Save the file to an external drive and restore it to the new machine. Click. Wait a bit. Celebrate. And move forward, without the usual frustration and grief. You go, ABF.
Post note: 16agers said it best, in describing the nightmare that this product avoids. Buy it. You won't regret it. And as an aside, over the years when I had the inevitable problems with an aging Outlook Express 6.0, the techs at ABF were fast and so professional in providing customer support,re how to use ABF Outlook Express Backup to protect my assets. It always amazed me that despite the fact that they were halfway around the world, they were always there when I needed them. Even during the years when they were learning to speak English. :-) Thanks, ABF, for everything.

"So Easy! - Very good price for full version too!"
Version: ABF Outlook Backup 3.2.1.63
Pros
Really easy and quick to install & use. No knowledge of the intricacies of Outlook needed.
Cons
Haven't found one yet.
Summary
Have been replacing PC's on a small business network and used this to transfer emails across from the old PC's to the new ones (for which you need the full version). 1. Install the program on old & new PC, copy the activation code from email onto a memory stick (activation code works multiple times).
2. Use the program to back up Outlook on the old PC (save the file to network, or memory stick)
3. Use the program to restore Outlook on the new PC, and you Outlook is configured (along with your explorer favourites) on the new machine, exactly as it was on the old one - emails, setting, the lot!!! It really is that simple. The only difference is that Outlook does cannot now autocomplete email addresses - until you have used them at least once again. I am very pleased with this software and will be regulary backing up my emails now. -
"What a time saver!!!"
Version: ABF Outlook Backup 3.2.1.63
Pros
Quick, efficient; no fuss, no muss
Cons
It seems to good to be true; but isn't....
Summary
I had to re-install my entire hard drive due to a catastrophic HD failure. I have about 100 folders set upin my MS Office-Outlook inbox and thousands of emails that never seemed to restore properly from any back-up process I have followed or used in the past. In desperation, I tried ABF Outlook BackUp without any idea if it would work. Even paid the $40 upfront. Wow, was I releived: it was done in minutes; perfectly. I couldn't beleive the time and agony I saved.

Summary
Great product, was hired to reformat a computer for a company. The program made my life easy and with a couple clicks had outlook backed up and installed on the new hard drive. You do not have to right down any of the settings or passwords. The program does everything for you with a self extracting/installer. I highly recommend this product.

"BUY THIS PRODUCT!"
Version: ABF Outlook Backup 3.2.1.63
Pros
Transferring/restoring your .pst file is very tricky. I went into Outlook meltdown and stumbled upon this program that saved me. It restored all my folders and contents as they were. This program saved my backside.
Cons
My existing rules transferred, but did not work. I deleted them and re-did.
Summary
I would have paid $100 bucks for this utility. Great job.
