    "Great Program, But Short Lived."

    September 28, 2012  |   By Several9920

WinPatrol worked great in the beginning. The small dog icon really took charge.

For what ever reason WinPatrol would stop working after so many months.

I would use WinPatrol for months with no problems, Then all of a sudden the program would disable itself and i couldn't get it to open anymore. Then i would reinstall only to have the same thing happen again. I figured maybe the people running this software disabled it on purpose to force me to use the paid version. I say this because, right before it would disable i would get nagging popup windows telling me to upgrade to the paid version. It was a excellent program i just got sick of installing and uninstalling, So i uninstalled for the last time and started using Arovax Shield which does the same thing WinPatrol does. To make a long story short, I think the makers of WinPatrol would prefer that you buy it rather than use to free version. If this is the case then why not make it trialware? Nonetheless it was a good program.
