    "still wa-a-a-y too slow, and is a major resource hog"

    Pros

    detects the bad stuff, but other, faster apps do as well

    Cons

    takes forever to download updates of virus definitions; takes aeons to complete even a minimal, basic scan; everything else on my pc must wait while the program loads, which, seems to take forever.

    Summary

    Good program but much too slow to launch, to upgrade, to run scans.
    This used to be a good program years ago, one of my favorites actually, but it's just gotten too big and too slow for my needs.
