"Works at stopping some .exe malware"
Small easy to use interface. Uses little resources. Uses heuristic scanning. Logfile to see what has been blocked.
Sometimes a problem to uninstall.
A few things:
1-This uses heuristic scanning techniques so it doesn't need frequent updates. If you don't know what that is google it. Since there hasn't been an update since 2004 it might be just for protecting against the activities of a certain type of malware.
2-There are multiple rogue security software (malware that pretends to be antivirus software) with a similar name like Spyware Guard 2008. This is not related to any of that malware stuff. SpywareGuard 2.2 is free and never should ask you to pay to remove malware. If it does then you probably installed the malware Spyware Guard 2008 or Antivirus2009 or whatever the current variant is.
3-It is NOT, in my opinion, a comprehensive anti-malware software. You need to run it with other anti-virus and anti-malware software to get decent protection.
I've had good luck with it stopping some malware on some problem student pc's that always seemed to get infected with something. The only problem I've had with it was it would not properly uninstall on two pc's, hence the 4 stars.
