Pros
Allows cross platform connections from Windows to Linux to Mac with full or Viewing access depending on installation settings. It's easy to use and the changing passwords is a plus for security.
Cons
When something goes wrong, it goes really wrong. I have a friend who's screen for me has been blank since november of last year when viewed through teamviewer. Additionally, I've had to remove the database manually to fix an issue.
Summary
If you're looking for an easy to use remote desktop application, especially where multiple platforms are involved, I highly recommend teamviewer.
