"It works with my Ubuntu + Windows setup!"

    August 20, 2010  |   By rdelfin

    Works instantly;; free; cross-platform compatibility.

    None really

Af first I thought that if my Windows machine had Remote Desktop active, that this would be enough to receive my request with team viewer on my client PC (Ubuntu Linux), and that was my wrong. This software needs to be installed on both ends (the client and the server; I know this sounds stupid, I just didn't think of it). Once you do that, it works beautifully.

Also, if you don't need to have it "always" available, they offer a portable version. It is the complete program with all functions, but runs without installing (including from a thumb drive). Only things this version can't do are run at startup and run as a service.
