"The Easiest Way to Edit Pages in a PDF Document"
What really sets Infix apart from other "PDF editors" is its ability to change the content and layout of the individual pages of a PDF document. Even better, it makes doing all this easy.
The program uses a PDF file, with bookmarks, for its help file. This leaves no easy way to create a set links to the pages that are important to an individual user. A standard HTML Help file, with the "favorites" tab enabled, would be more useful.
Lots of applications claim to be "PDF editors." What they can do, however, is usually limited to deleting pages, changing the order of the pages in the document, or inserting pages from other PDF files. Although Infix can do these tasks, it can also actually change the look and content of the pages. Both text and graphic elements can be inserted or deleted, and their placement on the page rearranged. The content of text can be changed, along with its font and size. Search and replace allows for replacement of text throughout a document. The list could go on and on. In short, Infix is essentially a page layout or desktop publishing tool for existing PDF documents. It can do most of the important types of changes to a PDF page which you'd expect to be able to while editing an HTML page with Front Page, or editing a DOC page with Word. The trial version allows you to sample all the functionality indefinitely, but applies a discreet watermark to each page of the document. Everything is still very readable.
