    Additionally, PUP is not necessarily a virus, it is a program, but many AVs ask if you want to scan for PUPs or Potentially Unwanted Programs, since so many people neglect to do the custom installation, and have toolbars downloaded, search engines replaced or redirected, etc. I've been downloading from CNET for several years and have had no problems with viruses.

    Blekko is a legitimate program, maybe not the best. What about Java that tries to download toolbars when you update? The same could be said of Adobe. When installing any program, you have to choose the custom install option, and uncheck those things. And, here's a review for the Blekko search engine by PC Magazine.
