"Not for every task"
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Ever since I began using Firefox, I have been relatively pleased with its performance.
Two things stand out, however:
1-windows bounce around, sometimes to a location that cannot be moved. (I have gotten around this by selecting an option such as Bookmark This Page... which pulls down the title bar to where I can move it. Still...);
2-printing PDF documents (to maintain records of my banking) results in only one of the three frames in the open window being printed, and Safari has to be used for this purpose.
If anyone else has observed these quirks, I would like to see it in print. I have not located anything related to the PDF printing problem on other forums.
Overall, I think Firefox works well. Perhaps it's because I don't have a lot of Add-ons to confuse its bits and bytes ;-). If all those who complain about software would examine their add-ons, maybe there would be a lot fewer complaints to read.
btw- I am still using my 2002 iMac G4 flat panel with OS X 10.3.9. It's still performing as its owner expects.
