"Needs Regular Updates"
Seems faster than previously
Better support in some areas
Will become out-dated too easily due to lack of updates.
As the article states, Microsoft aren't going to release updates in the same speed as Chrome And Firefox, but they will release them more often than in the past.
I think they need to take a leaf out of Chrome And Firefox's book. Technology is changing daily these days and the problem for me has been for a long time Microsoft have been playing catch up. They work on their next browser for a year, often longer, and by the time they release it, it and its features are usually out-dated.
For example I use Chrome and there are always 3 versions available (Firefox works similarly). These are the main stable version, a beta version for people to try new features although not fully stable and a developer version intended for developers.
Chrome always is releasing updates and unlike Microsoft it's not just security fixes, they also try new features, sometimes to security, sometimes usability. Microsoft should do this to, and when it has new feature ideas, it should try to get them released as soon as possible if it wants to stay in the browser race.
