"Great browser.....if Mozilla would only leave it alone!"
Pros
There's a mountain of addons you can choose from to customize the browser.
Cons
Mozilla's policy of releasing a new version every six weeks OFTEN TIMES causes compatibility problems with extensions and stability issues.
Summary
The last time I was this angry over a Firefox release was when version 4 came out a couple of years ago. The problems are a little different this time, but problems nevertheless. Once again the knuckleheads at Mozilla have released a version of Firefox that screws up compatibility with the extension addons, only this time the extension that doesn't work is Tab Mix Plus. Of all the extensions I use, about 60 in number, Tab Mix Plus is one of my "must have" addons. To make things worse I go to the Tab Mix Plus page and read that the next version update won't be until January. When I saw this I went ballistic. Why do the developers feel a new version is necessary every six weeks when it causes so many problems. Many people have spoken on this issue ad nauseum, but Mozilla has turned a deaf ear on everyone and continues on with their ridiculous policy. If some of the best features of the Firefox browser are the extension addons why then do the clowns at Mozilla keep doing things to create compatability problems with them? The Tab Mix Plus problem demonstratively illustrates my point. This sort of thing happens far too often!
@salesalix...I take umbrage at your comment that only people who do not know anything about FF's built-in functionality use Tab Mix Plus. FYI I have used this browser since its inception and am WELL AWARE of what it can do, and know that the browser is far more feature rich with Tab Mix Plus than without it. Many who see my browser remark how feature laden and trick-out it is. It's absurd of you to blindly make those comments not knowing how I want tabs to look or function on my FF. Your words make me seriously wonder if you ever even used Tab Mix Plus.
Just look at the theme pages in Firefox. There are 478 shown on 30 pages, yet only 90 are compatible with this version. Why is it that the theme developers aren't keeping them current? Many of them are very old, designed for Firefox versions of a bygone era, yet many more of the newer themes are also not being kept up. Could it be that it's just too much work to stay current when in six weeks it might be incompatible again? Simply put, the release schedule that Mozilla employs places a difficult and unnecessary burden on extension and theme developers. WAKE UP MOZILLA!
Firefox is an absolutely splendid browser when it doesn't have problems. Sadly, Mozilla's fast release schedule often times prevents this from being a reality. Firefox 17.... 1 star, and only because I couldn't give it fewer.

Perhaps you should go to the TMP page in Add-ons and check out how others feel about it. You will see that reviews are lopsidedly in its favor: out of 1,920 1,328 give it 5 stars, 307 4*, 116 3*, 59 2*, and 109 1*. It's one of the most popular ext. making the first page and ranking 12th with 1,468,112 users. If it's such a garbage add-on why do so many people praise & use it? Could they all be wrong? BTW I did go back to v. 16.0.2
Updated on Nov 30, 2012Today the developers of Tab Mix Plus released a new version, v. 0.4.0.3.1, that is compatible with Firefox 17. That is wonderful news! The developers got it to us a lot faster than the January date previously given. Apparently the incompatibility created a firestorm of comments on their add-on page, and prompted them to remedy the situation sooner than later. Kudos to them!
While this remedies a bad situation it still doesn't take Mozilla Firefox developers off the hook as far as I'm concerned, for their much-to-fast release schedule is still firmly in place. Instead of a new version every 1 1/2 months I'd like to see it lengthened to every 4 or 6 months. I'd be interested in hearing what other reviewers think about their release schedule.

TAB MIX PLUS is stupid add-on and it is good that MOZILLA left it behind.Only people who do not know anything about MOZILLA FIREFOX built-in functionality use that add-on, but if you like it so much why don't you just download and install old version of MOZILLA?
