"too slow i know what the problem is"

    September 2, 2012  |   By ianbod

i like firefox its the best all round browser but it has a big problem see below.

this is what happens go to cnet the first time firefox takes 40 seconds to render the page not acceptable, next time it will take only 4 seconds.
restart firefox and again go to cnet and it takes 40 seconds again,so when cached its fast but if you do a lot of searching it means lots of pages will take up to 40 seconds, hence lots of people say firefox is slow and it is.
if you use no script or turn java off the render time is cut in half to 20 seconds. so to me i think firefox java script is the problem.if you do the same test with safari cnet takes 7 seconds, but i dont like safari for other issues but it shows what good java script can do.

this is what i do now i give up on firefox because nobody listens to fix this problem,i use palemoon 15 which is same as firefox but faster. it renders cnet page in 15 seconds and with no script it only takes 7 seconds so is very fast.just one more tip for anybody many times ive used firefox from new and found after a few weeks it gets even slower which is the profile filling now with pale moon browser i use sandboxie set to empty every time and the browser stays brand new and fast forever. ive done this for 4 months and everything is fast as new.
