  "Crashes my computer without even being open"

  Manages somehow to suck up a gig and a half of memory and used over 90% of the CPU while it is not even open.

  Summary

  I installed this about a month ago to try out and basically forgot it was on my computer. During the last week I have had a couple of times when I have been trying to work and my computer has just completely frozen up. Even task manager wouldn't work. On one of these occasions I luckily had time to look in system processes before the paralysis set in. I found some addon which a google search told me was from Avant that was eating all the computer's power. I didn't even have a clue who it was because I hadn't used the browser for a month.

  Don't worry! Maybe it's an add-on that is causing the problem, not Avant Browser. Maybe you used an IE add-on when you are using a Chrome or Firefox rendering engine. That causes fatal errors. Also, I would like to mark that you are smart to do some research about that add-on!
