"option-click doesn't work; downloads get stuck; crashes"

    June 7, 2012  |   By Lucky Jean

    Pros

Well, except for my gripes listed below, it's like Firefox, which is normally pretty OK.

    Cons

I downloaded this the other day and I've noticed a couple of problems that I hope gets fixed.

First of all, normally when downloading a file in Firefox, all I have to do is option-click and it would give me the option to download the file. Now option-click does nothing at all. Of course, I can still control-click and "Save link as..." to download it, but still.

Also, if I start to download a file and then open up another tab in Firefox, the download gets stuck and doesn't go any further. I have to totally restart it.

Also, a couple of times, Firefox has frozen up when asked to do something simple. "Open this email," I say.

"Oh god, NOOOOO!" It says and freezes up until I force quit it.

I may have to switch to Safari if this keeps up. C'mon, Firefox 14.

    Summary

    Aargh.

Well, this isn't encouraging... :( Still love the fact that according to Seth "I get paid by the word" Rosenblatt, hardware is expected to catch up with a free RAM hog rather than vice versa.
