"Best browser so far with my valid Windows XP Pro OS."

    December 3, 2010  |   By turtlegill

    Pros

Faster, simpler, CLEANER than IE 8.

    Cons

So far there is no cash spitting out of my PC. Kidding. So far, no cons. I know everyone wants their personal, perfect browser but it's about accessibility, and one gets used to the new looks on the monitor.

    Summary

I have been using XP for ~7 years and things have been slowing down lately. I diligently clean/defrag the system and keep the memory high and the volume low, such as getting rid of unnecessary bloatware. But when browsing problems were occurring this year - especially after I got a new MP3 player last Christmas hahaha - I tried Mozilla Firefox for 24 hours and wasn't impressed, so I upgraded to IE 8 which looked cool but my facebook wall was still scrambling and other sites like forums and blogs were constantly displaying !Errors and I got tired of refreshing the pages because it took that extra time... I contacted Microsoft about that and naturally I was advised to upgrade to Vista, and then 7, perhaps investing in new devices, etc. But I love XP Pro still, so why not try Google Chrome after reading all the good reviews? I mean, it's a browser, not an XP - or any other OS - component. Upon quickly downloading it and familiarizing myself with it I am so enjoying quick access to unscrambled walls and !Error free pages and much faster downloading of software and MP3 files! Anyone can get used to the tools options that aren't as extravagantly displayed in IE 8 (which was more like a program than an application. And no, I have not removed IE 8 because so far there have been no contradictions in the system).
So far everything has been faster. No more going to brush my teeth while waiting for a page to load!
