"No longer a good alternative"

This use to be a very good product BEFORE the 11.x release. Now its crap, total crap. When I upgraded it blew out all my settings and was very buggy. It also installed spyware. Its just plain bad. I uninstalled it and went to IE7. Although its not perfect, I'm very happy I with it.

there must be some other issue with your installation as i m using this software for so long with none of the complaints you have. I suggest you give it a try again.

So you are saying there is spyware included in Avant Browser? Then how come it has gotten the 100% safe from Softpendia? softpedia.com/progClean/Avant-Browser-Clean-5990.html
Guess Anderson also bribed that entire site to get that award.
All your settings were the "victim" of the new great feature Avant Online Storage, so you can access your settings all over the world. A great feature
Also the new Public Beta version improves Avant again.
And if it's a junk browser, then how come it have a 4,5/5 from the users? Just look at the rating.

And yours is the only one that I agree with. This brorsew is junk, period. Looks like most of these reviewers are employed by this publisher of rubbish. Look at the helpfull / not helpfull counts. All the not helpfull votes werern't by idiots!

Well, you sound like an intelligent person why did you not backup your "precious" before installing this? I hope what you lost can be retrieved.
Could you tell me what spyware you found installed? I didn't catch that one when I installed it and I'm still looking under the skirt of this thing.
