    "installation requires installing adware"

    November 9, 2011  |   By coloratura

who knows? I aborted the installation. The last version of the product was good. I won't install coupon adware just to get this program update.

Adware. NOT what I expect from C/Net.

You've got the facts wrong - Notepad++ does not require that you install any other Adware. If you install via CNET you'll be prompted to install the Babylon toolbar (which is superannoying and hopefully something they'll remove pronto), but that is their thing - you could download Notepad++ from its own site, too, for a clean install.
