"Cool Screensaver - "Is anybody out there!!""

    October 8, 2004  |   By Jack2466

    Summary

For those of you wondering - this program crunches data that SETI has received from radio telescopes while searching the heavens for ET. The mathematical data is downloaded in data blocks to your computer from SETI and the crunching takes place while you computer is in screensaver mode. Once your computer is finished processing the data, its sent back to SETI at which time you receive another data block. You are essentially loaning your computer to SETI. ***Like the design, ****cool graphics while data processing, ****easy to install, haven't had any overheat problems although now i'm more aware of it since i've read the other reviews. Have an LCD, somewhat (but not very) concerned about possible burning -although most of the screensaver graphic is oscilatting, a small portion of it doesnt change (which i think SETI should improve upon). Overall, I recommend it..Help in the quest to find ET!! If you are a sci-fi geek, you'll love it. Try it, if its a problem just uninstall it
